JEC World postponed to May 3D Printing Events

On February 25th evening, based on the latest assessment of the situation and after consulting its board and key stakeholders of the composites industry, JEC Group decided to have the 2020 edition of JEC World postponed to May 12th to 14th 2020. The world’s biggest composite’s show, a key event for many companies that are developing and commercializing composite 3D printing technologies, was scheduled to begin on May 3rd. Earlier this week Salone del Mobile, the world’s largest furniture and product design event, scheduled to take place in Milan on April 21-26 was also postponed to June 16-21.

Lighting giant OSRAM partners with AM company XTPL AM Industry

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH, one of the world’s biggest lighting equipment manufacturers, recently signed an agreement with Polish additive company XTPL S.A. Through the partnership, the companies will evaluate and validate parameters of XTPL’s 3D printing technology with the goal of implementing it into OSRAM’s production workflow. Specifically, OSRAM will explore using XTPL’s AM technology for the production of conductive interconnections for semiconductors in lighting devices.

Samuel, Son & Co. acquires 100% of Canadian AM company Burloak Technologies AM Industry

After acquiring a minority stake in additive company Burloak Technologies in 2017, Canada-based Samuel, Son & Co., Limited has announced the full acquisition of the company. Burloak, now fully owned by the Canadian metal manufacturing leader, specializes in AM and provides support to partners in the aerospace, automotive and industrial markets in the adoption and use of 3D printing.

DyeMansion and PLM Group sign reseller agreement for Nordic-Baltic region AM Industry

Germany-based finishing solutions company DyeMansion has announced a new partnership agreement with PLM Group, a reseller of 3D printing technologies in the Nordic-Baltic region. PLM Group will now offer DyeMansion’s full range of finishing products alongside 3D printing systems from HP and 3D Systems and 3D printing software solutions. The distribution partnership also marks Dyemansion’s first authorized reseller in the Nordics and Baltics.

Sindoh 3D printer customers can now use RIZE’s patented materials AM Industry

3D printing company RIZE, Inc. has announced a strategic partnership with Sindoh Co., Ltd., a South Korean multi-functional printer and 3D printer manufacturer. Through the collaboration, Sindoh will incorporate RIZE’s portfolio of sustainable RIZIUM materials for its desktop 2X and industrial 7X printers. Together, the partners aim to create new market opportunities and accelerate the adoption of safe and sustainable 3D printing. The partnership was announced today at 3DEXPERIENCE World in Nashville.
