GREENFILL3D develops eco-friendly COLORISED lighting accessories Consumer Products

GREENFILL3D, a Polish startup specializing in 3D printing applications using innovative, eco-friendly materials, has entered a collaboration with four top filament manufacturers, including Chilean company Copper3D and three Polish firms: Grupa Azoty, Spectrum Filaments, and ROSA 3D. This partnership will facilitate the development of the COLORISED line of lighting accessories, incorporating antibacterial, biodegradable, and compostable properties into everyday items.

The COLORISED range features full-color lighting accessories such as electrical switch and socket covers, LED lamp frames, and customizable light switches. Launched earlier this year, the COLORISED brand aligns with GREENFILL3D’s mission to create functional, eco-conscious products using biodegradable, compostable, or recycled materials.

COLORISED products can serve both decorative and functional purposes. For instance, switch and socket frames can be equipped with QR codes, bar codes, informational labels, warnings, or even Braille descriptions.

One potential application of COLORISED products is in hospitals and medical facilities. Thanks to the partnership with Copper3D, these accessories will possess antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. Copper3D’s innovative filaments, based on polylactide (PLA) and a patented nano-copper additive, are biodegradable and conform to European Union standards, having undergone extensive clinical testing.

Additionally, GREENFILL3D has collaborated with Grupa Azoty and ROSA 3D to create products from fully compostable materials. Grupa Azoty, Poland’s largest chemical company, has developed a line of materials for 3D printers that includes fully biodegradable and compostable filaments. The Tarfuse envi 1 filament decomposes naturally, emitting less CO2 into the atmosphere during degradation.

ROSA 3D, a subsidiary of ROSA PLAST, offers a wide range of eco-friendly filaments, including BIOwood, a compostable material mixed with wood. GREENFILL3D utilizes these materials for larger products such as lamps and ventilation grilles.

Spectrum Filaments, a prominent European filament manufacturer, offers nearly 70 types of materials, including a line of ecological filaments. The company’s GreenyHT eco-filament is a high-performance biopolymer that is biodegradable, compostable, GMO-free, and food-safe.

GREENFILL3D is committed to developing innovative 3D printing solutions using natural materials – promoting the Zero-Waste concept in 3D printing and establishing new ecological standards for everyday objects. The company designs and produces advertising, decorative, home decor, and everyday applications using bioplastics or recycled materials. In 2022, GREENFILL3D received numerous awards and accolades for its innovative ECO POS advertising stands, which were made from a proprietary material derived from wheat bran waste generated during pasta production.
