3Diligent expands manufacturing-as-a-service suite AM Software

3Diligent expanded its leading manufacturing-as-a-service (MaaS) application, ProdEX, and its scalable shop management application, Shopsight. These applications respectively connect additive manufacturing service providers with clients and enable remote assessment, quoting and project management. These applications run through 3Diligent’s Connect interface: advertisers and customers can request a quote via ProdEX and management workflow through Shopsight. Connect thus serves as a gateway to Industry 4.0. It combines the software packages and uses a secure online portal and Zoom’s videoconferencing tools to connect manufacturers and customers directly.

Henkel and Carbon combine materials and printing expertise, bring Loctite to Carbon’s offering AM Industry

Henkel and Carbon announced a new partnership agreement to bring Henkel’s Loctite adhesive technology into the additive manufacturing space. Carbon’s printers, notably its newer L1 3D model, will now be able to use Loctite materials. The new Loctite 3D IND 405 clear material is immediately available to customers. The partnership agreement will also give Carbon’s industrial clients access to Henkel’s single-component technologies, which may now be incorporated into Carbon’s digital light synthesis process (DLS).

AM-Flow raises $4M to deliver full end-to-end AM automation Additive Manufacturing

AM-Flow, a Dutch industrial automation company focused on additive manufacturing automation, obtained four million dollars of Series A funding, which allows the company to begin providing step-change automation to the AM industry. The funding also allows the company to move toward its industry 4.0 goal of the lights-out factory, where artificial intelligence computer vision, motion and robotics process 3D-printed parts. AM-Flow’s commitment to supplying this intelligence and accompanying robotics will enhance manufacturing speeds and efficiency levels.

3DnA purchases Stratasys large-scale F900 3D printer AM Industry

3DnA SRL, one of Italy’s leading engineering services bureaus, purchased a Stratasys F900 3D printer after having successfully used Stratasys’s Fortus 450mc system for prototyping and end-use parts manufacturing. The purchase allows 3DnA to expand its production capabilities into new markets in transportation. The engineering firm will be focusing on expanding into train, bus, coach and drone tool and parts supply.

5N Plus enters additive manufacturing market, substantially expands the company’s AM powder offering Materials

5N Plus, a Canadian specialty chemicals and engineered materials firm based in Montreal, entered the additive manufacturing market by launching a broad portfolio of metal powder products. The company’s recent ambition is a new addition to the Canadian AM space, where 5N Plus promises to offer power materials with melting points that range between 60°C to well over 2600°C. 5N hopes to capture significant market share with this breadth of potential materials.
