Farsoon installs laser sintering systems at Chuanglian 3D Technology Company AM Industry

Farsoon Technologies, a laser sintering and materials developer, completed the installation of two systems for Chuanglian 3D Technology Company. An HT1001P CAMS and three Flight 403P systems were installed. These installations represent a budding partnership between Farsoon and Chuanglian, which further reflects Farsoon’s growing market share. This growth is balanced by growing tensions between the United States and mainland Chinese manufacturers. Farsoon’s partnership consolidates Farsoon’s relationships in its local market, thus strengthening the company’s operations.

Add TIPE 3D Printing, industry’s first all-female conference, to your calendars AM Industry

AM organization Women in 3D Printing has done some seriously amazing work over the years: highlighting the accomplishments of women across AM and giving them a platform through which to connect, as well as providing insights into the industry’s diversity through its regular DfAM reports. Now, the group is preparing to host the additive industry’s first all-female agenda of AM speakers at the upcoming TIPE 3D Printing conference.

Nexa3D integrating Siemens factory automation across QLS portfolio Additive Manufacturing

Polymer 3D printer company Nexa3D is teaming up with Siemens to bring its AM production systems up to speed for Industry 4.0 connectivity. The companies will leverage their respective areas of expertise to standardize Nexa3D’s whole Quantum Laser Sintering (QLS) product line to Siemens’ factory automation and computing technologies. (Earlier this year Nexa3D acquired NXT Factory, the developer of QLS technology.)

Chemicals group ALTANA acquires German and UK AM powder manufacturers AM Industry

ALTANA, a Germany-based specialty chemicals company, is expanding its stake in the additive manufacturing sector with the acquisition of two companies: Germany’s TLS Technik GmbH & Co. Spezialpulver KG, a manufacturer of metal powders for 3D printing; and Britain’s Aluminium Materials Technologies Ltd. (AMT). The acquisitions will expand ALTANA’s ECKART division, a leading manufacturer of effect pigments.

Additive Industries and Sigma Labs integrate melt-pool monitoring in MetalFAB1 Additive Manufacturing

Metal 3D printing company Additive Industries and AM quality assurance solutions provider Sigma Labs have successfully completed the certification process to make the MetalFAB1 system “PrintRite3D Ready”. Through the collaboration, the companies believe they are the first to integrate near real-time visualization of the build thermal history for a quad-laser metal 3D printer.

Print Parts collaborates with PostProcess on NYC COVID contract Marketing and Content

Manhattan-based Additive Manufacturing service, Print Parts Inc., collaborated with PostProcess Technologies to rapidly scale efforts used in the production of 3D printed nasopharyngeal (NP) swabs for New York City’s COVID-19 Test Kits. At the peak of the pandemic, Print Parts began working with NYC to scale up production of NP swabs for the emergency supply of COVID test kits.
