About Project

These stainless steel sample parts are printed with SLM technology and have not been polished. These raw metal prints are robust and coarse.
FacFox offers several post-treatments like electropolishing, CNC polishing, AFM polishing, and manual polishing to reduce the surface roughness of CNC machining parts to Ra 0.8 and 1.6. Different finishing including default finishing, mirror finishing, and brushed finishing are all available.

Solution

  • Step 1: Prepare the Stainless Steel 316L powder, heat the printer chamber to the correct temperature, then the laser touches the area as the set route.
  • Step 2: Break the thin supports with pliers, and cut the thick supports with wire cutting. Polish the parts to remove the bumps.
