About Project

Are you a fan of the Power Rangers, the iconic superhero team that has been fighting evil for over 25 years? If so, you might be interested in this amazing PolyJet 3D printed full-color resin White Power Ranger miniature with Saba Sword, created by FacFox, a leading online 3D printing service provider.

The White Power Ranger, also known as Tommy Oliver, is one of the most popular and legendary Power Rangers of all time. He started out as the evil Green Ranger, controlled by Rita Repulsa, but later joined the side of good and became the leader of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He also wore other colors throughout his career, such as Red and Black, but his most iconic suit is the White Ranger armor, which features black, white and gold details, and a distinctive helmet with a tiger motif.

The White Power Ranger’s signature weapon is the Saba Sword, a talking saber that can shoot lasers and fly. The sword is also the key to summoning the White Tigerzord, a powerful robotic tiger that can combine with other Zords to form the Mega Tigerzord or the Thunder Ultrazord.

FacFox has custom-made a White Power Ranger miniature for one of their clients, using PolyJet 3D printing technology. PolyJet is a revolutionary multi-material jetting photopolymer 3D printing technology that can create parts with exceptional precision and versatility. It can print multiple colors and materials in a single model, creating realistic and stunning effects. PolyJet 3D printing can also create complex geometries, intricate details, transparencies, and flexible parts – all in a single model.

The White Power Ranger miniature is made of resin, a durable and smooth material that can capture fine details and vivid colors. It has a high level of accuracy and detail, replicating the White Ranger’s suit, helmet, and sword faithfully. The miniature also has a glossy finish, giving it a shiny and sleek appearance.

The White Power Ranger miniature is a perfect collectible for any Power Rangers fan, or a great gift for someone who loves the franchise. It is also a showcase of the amazing capabilities of PolyJet 3D printing technology, which can create realistic and colorful models of any shape and size.

Solution

  • Step 1: A 3D model of the White Power Ranger was created using 3D modeling software, such as Blender, Maya, or ZBrush. The model was designed to match the appearance and proportions of the original character, with details such as the suit, helmet, and sword. The model was also colored and textured to reflect the black, white, and gold colors of the White Ranger armor.
  • Step 2: The 3D model was uploaded to FacFox’s website and processed by their online 3D printing platform. The platform checked the model for any errors, such as holes, inverted normals, or non-manifold geometry, and fixed them automatically. The platform also optimized the model for 3D printing, such as reducing the polygon count, scaling the model to the desired size, and orienting the model for the best printing results.
  • Step 3: The 3D model was sliced into thin layers by the PolyJet 3D printer, a machine that uses multiple print heads to jet tiny droplets of liquid photopolymer resin onto a build tray. The resin is cured by UV light, creating solid layers of material. The PolyJet 3D printer can print multiple materials and colors in a single model, by mixing different resins and adding color pigments. The printer can also create gradients, transparencies, and flexible parts, by varying the amount and type of resin used.
  • Step 4: The White Power Ranger miniature was printed layer by layer by the PolyJet 3D printer, following the instructions from the sliced 3D model. The printer used white, black, and gold resins to create the White Ranger armor, and transparent resin to create the Saba Sword. The printer also used a support material, a soluble resin that can be easily removed after printing, to support the overhangs and hollow parts of the model.
  • Step 5: The White Power Ranger miniature was removed from the build tray and cleaned by a water jet, which dissolved and washed away the support material. The miniature was then dried and inspected for any defects, such as cracks, bubbles, or missing parts. The miniature was also polished and smoothed by a sanding machine, to remove any rough edges or layer lines.
  • Step 6: The White Power Ranger miniature was coated with a clear lacquer, which gave it a glossy and protective finish. The lacquer also enhanced the colors and details of the model, making it more realistic and vibrant. The miniature was then ready to be shipped to the client, who received it in a secure and elegant package.
