About Project

Here is a pair of crystal shoes for a 1/4 BJD doll. They are made with stereolithography 3D printing technology. Pitifully, they would be yellowing laying beside the window for months. But it's cheap printing new tiny shoes for the doll.

Solution

  • Step 1: The client sent us the 3D model she downloaded from the Internet. Our engineer helped her examine the model and scale it to suit the 1/4 BJD doll.
  • Step 2: After the client is sure about the size, material, and desired surface, we offer a quote to her and feed the STL file into slicer software, and arrange the position.
  • Step 3: 3D print the shoes with the necessary supports using SLA Clear Resin. Post-process them by washing them with IPA, post-curing with UV, cutting off the supports, and air-drying.
  • Step 4: Polish the resin prints with 500 to 2000 grits of sandpaper. Then spray the surface with clear acrylic oil.
