The Portal Gun is a famous gadget that allows users to travel between different universes/dimensions/realities. Many Rick and Morty fans tried DIY their own ones.
The client reached us on Etsy to cut out a 2mm thick PMMA board with the word “portal gun” engraved. We found that if we cut out the word “Rick And Morty”, the circles in “R”, “o” and other letters would also be lost. The client accepted it.

Solution

• Step 1: Communicate with the client to ensure the dimension, and make clear about the cut-out part and engraved part.
• Step 2: Give the quote and advice based on the PDF file. As only AI/DXF/DWG files can be used for laser cutting, we will charge a little on format conversion.
• Step 3: Set and tune the laser cutter, fix the acrylic board, and process as programmed.
