About Project

The full set of Malenia cosplay props, including the armor and sword, is customed for an Elden Ring fan. The resin prints were painted with high-quality car paints and our experienced painters gave them an antique finish.

Solution

• Step 1: We help the client to buy the 3D model from the Internet and scale down the model to suit her body size. SLA Tough Resin is recommended for this application as it has better stiffness and flexibility than generic resin.
• Step 2: We input the 3D model into the slicing software and add supporting structures. The position of these models needs to be well arranged to hide the layer lines and save printing time.
• Step 3: Take out the print and wash it with IPA to remove excess materials. Post-cure it with UV. Sand and polish the parts by hand to get rid of marks and bumps.
• Step 4: Spray the garage kits with grey putty, then wash the prints with dark paint and wipe them to create an aging effect. Color the prints with airbrushes and metallic paints. Add more antique details with a sponge.
• Step 5: Some parts are delivered to the tailor shop so they could sew the customed leather gloves with the armors.
