Here the architectural model is designed for an enterprise that has bought land and planned to build a new campus. The designer they cooperated with just found us to customize the scaled-down models. The office building and security booth were 3D printed, and we laser cut wood and resin plates as the base and lanes.
Solution
Step 1: The client builds the whole model with SketchUp, and exports the STL file for printing. Our engineer would help him examine the model.
Step 2: We arrange the model in software and add necessary supports. Then 3D print it with SLA ABS-like Resin in one piece. The layer thickness we set is 0.05mm and we control the tolerance within 卤0.1 mm.
Step 3: When printing is completed, rinse the models with IPA and post-cure them with UV. Cut off all the supports, then polish with sandpaper.
Step 4: Laser cut the MDF boards and ABS boards according to the 2D blueprints. Color all the ABS parts into white. Then assemble the resin print and the boards together and fix with glue.
