About Project

The aging population has been an essential issue. Our client cares about how the elderly stand up after tumbling, so she invented this lightweight walker and found us to 3D print a prototype. It can smartly adjust the angle and length of the holder according to the height and habit of elder people. It also can be folded for carrying.

Solution

  • Step 1: The walker is composed of different parts and it needs to be moveable for functional presentation. So we split the 3D model and print it separately.
  • Step 2: Considering the model needs smooth surface and fine-details, and the client has a limited budget, we recommend 3D printing the model using SLA Durable Resin.
  • Step 3: When finish printing, we break the supports and polish with sandpaper, then color each part with matte paints.
  • Step 4: Assemble all the parts together and test the functions.
