Nano Dimension increases offer for Stratasys; fights off own takeover attempt AM Industry

With another somewhat unconventional public move, Nano Dimension Ltd. (Nasdaq: NNDM) has submitted a revised offer to acquire Stratasys Ltd. (Nasdaq: SSYS) for $19.55 per share in cash (the previous offer was $18 per share and it had been turned down by Stratasys board. At the height of the 2013-2014 period, Stratasys stocks traded above $120 per share. At the same time, Nano Dimension has filed a lawsuit against its own shareholders, Murchinson Ltd. (“Murchinson”), Anson Advisors, Inc. (“Anson”), Boothbay Fund Management (“Boothbay”) and their affiliates, “for improperly acquiring and misusing their shareholding interests in Nano Dimension.” Nano Dimension also just reported full FY 2022 revenues of $46 million (Stratasys generated roughly 14 times as much).

Linde launches LINSPRAY Connect post-AM cold spraying gas supply solution 3D Printing Processes

Linde, an industrial gases and engineering company, has launched its next-generation post-additive manufacturing cold spraying gas supply solution, LINSPRAY Connect, which will significantly enhance the reliability and safety of the cold spraying process. The advanced supply solution was developed in collaboration with German cold spraying technology leader, Impact Innovations.

Baker Hughes and Oqton enter software development agreement AM Software

Oqton, a software provider helping manufacturers increase innovation and efficiency by intelligently automating production, and Baker Hughes, a global energy technology company, have entered a technical and commercial software development agreement. The agreement will bring together the two companies’ engineering expertise and knowledge of manufacturing to develop an industrial, digital ecosystem that will transform how manufacturers bring their products to market in highly regulated industries such as energy, aerospace, and healthcare. The solution is intended to accelerate the design and production of additively manufactured parts across the entire manufacturing workflow to increase efficiency and facilitate regulatory compliance.

Materialise introduces Materialise Process Control and the BP SDK AM Software

Materialise, a global leader in 3D printing software and service solutions, has collaborated with both Phase3D, a Chicago-based startup creating real-time inspection technology for powder-based AM, and Sigma Additive Solutions, a software company providing in-process AM quality assurance software. The companies’ collaboration is focused on providing process monitoring for metal 3D printing, through Materialise Process Control – a newly released software solution that enables manufacturers to introduce quality control using data gathered during the 3D printing process. Materialise has also introduced its Build Processor Software Development Kit (BP SDK) – a platform connecting 3D printers with software for data preparation, such as Materialise Magics.
