Sinterit Unveils Complete Powder Handling Station for Benchtop SLS 3D Printer

Sinterit, the Poland-based company known for its low-cost SLS 3D printing solutions, has launched the latest addition to its ecosystem: the Powder Handling Station (PHS). The new system, to be used alongside Sinterit’s Lisa or Lisa PRO printers, is designed to streamline and improve the powder recovery and cleaning processes for selective laser sintering.

The Powder Handling Station enhances Sinterit’s existing portfolio of products, which already comprises the Lisa and Lisa PRO 3D printers, a range of powder management tools, the ATEX Vacuum Cleaner, sandblasting systems and Sinterit Studio software. The PHS system was specifically developed to support users operating multiple Sinterit 3D printers or printing large volumes of parts.

The industrial Powder Handling Station integrates several powder management processes into a single unit to simplify the printing process on the whole. With it, users can more easily tackle each step of SLS production, from print preparation, to post-processing, to powder refresh and recovery.

The PHS itself consists of several integrated components, including a worktop with a suction hole to speed up depowdering and a detachable two-meter-long suction hose connected to the ATEX vacuum cleaner. The new station is also designed to automatically transport unsintered powder from the printer into a sieving module under the worktop. Sinterit adds that the sieving process can now be carried out at the same time as post-processing, so that the powder can be refreshed in time for the next print job.

The station also comes equipped with an optional foldable shelf on which users can install the Sandblaster or Sandblaster XL for part cleaning. Finally, the entire setup has been configured so that it can be used by a single operator, demonstrating Sinterit’s continued emphasis on ergonomic and user-friendly design.

“Sinterit was the first company in the world that brought SLS technology to the benchtop,” said Michal Grzymala-Moszczynski, Co-Founder of Sinterit and head of its R&D department. “Over the past years, we have been developing products by listening to our customers. Today, we want to meet their needs again and improve the SLS experience. Now, we are the first to offer a complete solution that meets all your needs and covers the entire process of making printouts.”

Sinterit’s new Powder Handling Station gives SLS users the option for a more automated and efficient workflow, condensing most powder management steps into a single system. With its recent release, Sinterit continues to show that its end-to-end SLS solution, while affordable, is here to meet industrial applications.
