About Project

The scene building is made for children's television series, like Teletubbies, In the Night Garden…, Sesame Street, etc. All the scale-down buildings are 3D printed with SLA printing technology. Compared to the traditional model-making process, 3D printing is cheaper and faster. And the resin model is lightweight than wood, stronger than cardboard.

Solution

  • Step 1: The 3D models of the coffee shop, bakery, bell tower, and even trees are designed based on realistic architectures, but are simplified to some extent.
  • Step 2: As the camera will shoot the architectures closely, we 3D print the models using SLA Generic Resin in 0.05mm.
  • Step 3: Remove the supports and rinse the model with IPA. Then post-cure it under UV. Use sandpaper to remove bumps and marks.
  • Step 4: Paint the architecture models with airbrushes. The color scheme is more brilliant and vivid, catering to children.
