About Project

This is a 3D-printed futuristic helmet prototype. It's lightweight and can be collapsed, thus it's convenient to be carried every day. Printed with resin, it cannot be worn on the road, just can be used for appearance verification. If it's feasible, our client may produce the functional version using titanium or carbon fiber.

Solution

  • Step 1: The walker is composed of different parts and it needs to be moveable for functional presentation. So we split the 3D model and print it separately.
  • Step 2: Considering the model needs a smooth surface, fine details, machinable and durable features, we recommend 3D printing the model using SLA ABS-like Resin.
  • Step 3: When finish printing, we break the supports and polish with sandpaper, then color each part with matte paints.
  • Step 4: Assemble all the parts together and test the functions.
