Solution

• Step 1: A 3D model of the ring was created by CGIChains using a software program. The 3D model included the cherub, the ring circle, and the logo.
• Step 2: The 3D model was uploaded to FacFox鈥檚 website and a 3D printing service was selected. FacFox used a resin-based 3D printer to print a wax pattern of the ring.
• Step 3: The wax pattern was placed in a metal flask and surrounded by a plaster-like material called investment. The flask was heated in a furnace to melt and burn out the wax, leaving a hollow cavity in the shape of the ring.
• Step 4: Molten silver 925 was poured into the cavity and allowed to solidify. The flask was then broken and the silver ring was removed from the investment.
• Step 5: The silver ring was cleaned and polished to remove any excess metal and smooth out any rough edges. The ring was then inspected for quality and accuracy.
• Step 6: The silver ring was electroplated with rose gold to make it look better. The electroplating process involved immersing the ring in a solution containing copper, zinc and silver ions and applying an electric current. The ions were deposited on the surface of the ring, forming a thin and shiny rose gold layer.
