About Project

This lovely cupid necklace pendant is customed for a client as a gift for his girlfriend. The chubby boy is in a posture that he has just shot the arrow, thus it's a unique one compared to other cupids on sale.

Solution

  • Step 1: For the convenience of post-processing, the Cupid and the board are printed separately. Check the models and add the support structure. Arrange the positioning in the software.
  • Step 2: DLP 3D printing technology is most commonly used in making tiny and intricate objects. DLP Castable Resin is highly recommended for customers who have expert-level quality control in casting.
  • Step 3: Carefully remove the supports and polish the pendants. Post-cure them with UV.
  • Step 4: Cast the silver copy with the resin prototype. There are water gates on the pendants that need to be cut off and polished.
  • Step 5: Carve the numbers onto the board with laser-cutting machining. Then melt the two silver parts and connect them together.
