Recently the retro style wall lights are hot in China, people call them “Bauhaus Space Age UFO lights”. The light is composed of several colorful acrylic plates and a half-matte bulb. When you turn the switch on, the light would pass the acrylic plates and leave a beautiful halo onto the wall.

Solution

• Step 1: Communicate with the client to ensure the dimension, and make clear about the cut-out parts. Examine the files to ensure they can come out with a smooth edge and no cracks.
• Step 2: Give the quote of material, laser cutting service, and shipping cost based on the PDF file. As only AI/DXF/DWG files can be used for laser cutting, we will charge a little on format conversion or ask the client to offer.
• Step 3: Set and tune the laser cutter, fix the acrylic board, and process as programmed.
• Step 4: The client fixed the bulb base and a PMMA plate with superglue, and then fix other colorful PMMA plates onto it with screws and bolts. Then, screw a bulb in.
