About Project

3D Printing of enclosures allows design freedom, lets a designer print a prototype or final part in a matter of hours, and is much cheaper when compared to traditional manufacturing methods. 3D printed enclosures offer an effective method of confirming form and fit and several of the materials that can be used for printing enclosures are suitable for end-use applications. DLP 3D printing offers fine-detail models with very smooth surfaces.

Solution

  • Step 1: Check all the dimensions and precision requirements for the 3D model with our client. Give our suggestions about fillet, wall thickness, the diameter of the holes, snap-fit structure, etc.
  • Step 2: DLP print the enclosure with DLP Ultra Detail Resin. UV-cured resin prints display fine details, sharp edges, and a smooth finish. Color availability is limited, but it is easily paintable and can also be translucent or transparent.
  • Step 3: Wash away the supporting structure, clean the parts, post-cure them with UV, and make some adjustments with file and sanding paper.
  • Step 4: Check the model with contrast to the blueprint. Examine the diameter of the hole with a needle.
