About Project

Having a video call when you are outside is hard for some naughty cats. So our client designed this automatic cat feeder with a screen and a camera. Cats can stay in front of the camera for one minute when eating, and its owner can remotely control the supply of cat food to make them stay. The product is still being tested, and we made this full-scale prototype for appearance verification with 3D printing technology.

Solution

• Step 1: The cat feeder model is composed of several different parts so we need to check them first for successful assembly.
• Step 2: After adding support and adjust the placement for each part, we 3D print them with SLA PP-like Resin.
• Step 3: Break the supports and sand with sandpaper, then post-cure with UV.
• Step 4: Paint the parts white with an airbrush, and then hand-paint them.
