About Project

The design of this stew pot is iterated from other competitors in the market. Its cover and the inner body are made of glass, so the user could clearly see the food condition inside. The handle is designed to be wooden and the outer enclosure is made of plastics.

Solution

  • Step 1: The client builds the model with Rhino and splits the model based on the materials and for the ease of post-processing.
  • Step 2: Add supporting structures and arrange the placement in the software. 3D print the main parts with SLA Generic Resin, then print the window and cover with SLA Clear Resin. Considering the scale and the desired coating effect, we set the layer thickness to 0.05mm.
  • Step 3: Cut off the supports and rinse with IPA. Polish to remove marks and spray the clear parts with clear acrylic oil. After air drying, try to assemble all the parts and adjust the allowance with sandpaper.
  • Step 4: Paint the parts into appointed colors with airbrushes, and paint the knob with wooden patterns. Assemble all the parts together and fix them with superglue.
