Solution

  • Step 1: Design Phase.聽The CAD model of the saddle clamp kit was created by the client, specifically designed for Pinarello Dogma F and X bicycles.
  • Step 2: File Preparation.聽The CAD model was converted into an STL file format, which was then uploaded to the DMLS 3D printer’s software.
  • Step 3: Material Preparation.聽Titanium powder was selected for its lightweight and corrosion-resistant properties. The powder was loaded into the DMLS 3D printer.
  • Step 4: Printing Process.聽The DMLS 3D printer used a high-powered laser to selectively fuse the titanium powder layer by layer. Each layer was scanned and melted according to the digital design, building up the saddle clamp kit from the bottom up.
  • Step 5: Layering.聽After each layer was fused, a new layer of titanium powder was spread over the previous one, and the process was repeated until the entire part was completed.
