About Project

The client is an automotive sheet metal parts manufacturer and they had an old part to be scanned. The goal is to get a machinable 3D model. As the model is complex and has too many curved faces, using traditional measuring methods would be inefficient. With our MangoFree scanning system, we can scan the model very quickly and get an STP file.

Solution

  • First, according to the shape and accuracy requirements of the scanned object, the detection points are pasted in the appropriate positions.
  • Secondly, use the MangoFree 3D scanning system to scan and map together with photogrammetry to obtain high-precision 3D data.
