About Project

3D printing can not only make small parts but also life-size products. Have a look at this 4.2-meter long 1:1 concept car model. Along with putty filling and painting, FDM parts can have a mirror-like finish as well. Click here to know more about FacFox's large-format 3D printing capability.

Solution

  • Step 1: Split the 3D model, manufacture parts of the enclosure with industrial large-format FDM 3D printers using FDM Nylon 12CF, and produce the steel skeleton frame with CNC milling.
  • Step 2: Assemble the models together and fix them with automotive clay and glue after support removal and sanding.
  • Step 3: Spray with putty and polish the surface to make it smooth. Then coat with metallic paint.
