Large-format 3D printing is promising to solve many challenges manufacturers face when prototyping and producing larger parts. It might be a breakthrough for SLA 3D printers to produce 2.4 meters long parts. But for FDM 3D printers, large-format printers are already quite common.
Due to the large building area, FDM printers are utilized in the architecture industry. FacFox is also proud to introduce our ultra-large additive manufacturing equipment, of which the printing speed is 20-25 m/min, the maximum extrusion capacity of 25 kg/h, and support using a wide range of materials such as ABS, PC, PLA, PETG.
Our printers’ capability include but are not limited to:
- Big! The main specifications of the print size are 2m × 2m, 2 m × 4 m, and 3 m × 7 m, which can be considered very large in the world!
- Fast! The printing speed is very fast, and the output volume can reach more than 20 kg/h.
- Additive and reductive manufacture integration! It can achieve 3D printing and CNC machining at the same time, and the workpiece comes out with relatively high precision.
- Low cost! The use of pellets instead of wire materials greatly reduces the cost of materials and expands the types of supporting materials.
- Independently developed exclusive materials! Our specialists have invented new printing and supporting materials. The essence is engineering composite resin and plastic; the hardness is the same as that of aluminum alloy, but the density is 1.3 which is half of the aluminum. The materials themselves are white or translucent, but you can adjust the color by adding color master batch.
The large-scale molds, gauges, and fixtures produced from mixed processing of additive and reductive manufacturing have been applied in factories.
