This 25cm-tall elder man statue is aimed to be a gift for the client's father. It's built from a 3D scan, and then mended and adjusted to be appropriate for 3D printing. At this scale, a layer height of 0.05 mm can nicely present all the details.
Solution
Step 1: Our engineer would help the client examine the 3D model and give a quote based on the required height. We do not hollow the model as the client feel a solid one has a better quality and the vent hole is not good-looking.
Step 2: We arrange the parts in software and add necessary supports. Then 3D print it with SLA Generic Resin. The layer thickness we set is 0.05mm and we control the tolerance within 卤0.1 mm.
Step 3: When printing is completed, rinse the model with IPA and post-cure them with UV. Cut off all the supports and marks with scissors and graters, then polish them with sandpaper.
