These 8cm-long parrots that have exquisite details are first 3D printed in castable resin and then cast into metal parts. Both are cast with brass, and then electroplated with silver and gold respectively.
In the quoting stage, we noted that the details of 0.2mm may be lost after casting and got our client's approval.
Solution
Step 1: 3D print the master patterns with DLP Castable Resin, a low-wax 3D printing material, containing 8% liquid wax.
Step 2: Break the supports and partially polish the models to remove bumps.
Step 3: Cast the parrot models with brass, then electroplate with silver and gold.
