Solution
- Step 1: Model Design and Preparation. First, a digital 3D model of the building was created using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This digital file contained all the intricate details and dimensions necessary for accurate replication.
- Step 2: SLA Printing Process: The prepared 3D model was then translated into a format readable by the SLA 3D printer. Using a layer-by-layer approach, a laser beam selectively cured liquid resin according to the digital blueprint. This process continued until the entire two-story building model was solidified.
- Step 3: Post-Processing. Once the printing cycle was complete, the model was carefully removed from the build platform. Support structures, used to ensure stability during printing, were then meticulously removed.
- Step 4: Cleaning and Finishing. The model underwent a thorough cleaning process to remove any residual resin. This ensured a smooth and pristine surface for the subsequent painting stage.
- Step 5: Painting and Detailing. The model was meticulously hand-painted to replicate the real-life building in exquisite detail. The red roof tiles, white walls, brickwork, green door and window frames were all carefully colored, bringing the model to life.
- Step 6: Packaging and Assembling. The parts were carefully packaged and transported to the client’s office. The building was assembled and fixed using glue and nails.
