Yes, while my boss thought I was deeply analyzing quarterly spreadsheets, I was actually running a highly classified, subterranean sports memorabilia factory. Behold: the ultimate workplace victory, my very own FDM-printed FIFA World Cup Trophy!

I used a gorgeous silk gold filament that shines brighter than my career prospects right now. Just look at those flawless layers and the crisp continents on the globe! I even paused the print to swap in that classic green-teal filament for the base rings, because details matter when you’re forging FIFA history right next to the water cooler. Solution

• Step 1: A digital 3D model of the FIFA World Cup trophy was acquired and prepared for the manufacturing workflow.
• Step 2: The digital model was imported into slicing software, where optimal layer heights, infill densities, and cooling settings were configured to ensure high surface quality.
• Step 3: Premium silk gold PLA filament was selected and loaded into the FDM 3D printer to achieve the desired metallic sheen and reflective finish.
• Step 4: The print bed was leveled, and the fabrication process was discreetly initiated on the office 3D printer.
• Step 5: The printing sequence was paused at the designated layer heights, and the gold filament was temporarily swapped for a green-teal filament to form the decorative rings on the base.
• Step 6: The silk gold filament was reloaded into the extruder, and the remaining complex geometries of the human figures and the globe were completed.
• Step 7: The original digital files were scaled down within the software, and the identical extrusion process was repeated to manufacture a batch of miniature trophies and accompanying Golden Boot models.
• Step 8: The completed prints were removed from the build platform, and the temporary support structures were carefully detached to reveal the final, flawless finish.
