Have you ever imagined creating yourself the coolest mouse shell which can perfectly fit with your hands? Many people have put it into practice. As shown in the figures, the SLA 3D printed shell is so clear to emit the inner lights of the mouse. The hexagonal holes seem complicated but are nothing difficult for 3D printing.

Our client ordered 2 pieces of the mouse shell. One is translucent white and another is green. The green one is dyed with a green solution. The 3D model was built by our client and our engineer just checked the model and make sure if they can snap-fit connected perfectly. Also, we added some supporting structure on the shell and polished them to make it have a bright and smooth surface.

Solution

• Step 1: Check the model after we received the CAD file from our client and add the supporting structure as we recommended him to make it with SLA 3D printing technology.
• Step 2: 3D print the upper and base shell separately, then remove the supporting structure and post-cure them with UV.
• Step 3: Post-process the mouse shells, like sanding, polishing, and coloring one of the mouse with the green dye solution.
