Unveiling the Masterpiece
The titanium 3D-printed calabash in our hands is a true work of art. Its intricate lattice patterns, visible through the openwork design, are a testament to the unparalleled precision of our DMLS 3D printing technology. The two stacked spheres, each with its own unique character, are perfectly balanced, creating a captivating visual harmony. Solution
- Step 1: Design Creation. The design for the calabash miniatures was created using CAD software. The intricate lattice patterns and the overall shape were meticulously detailed to ensure precision.
- Step 2: Material Preparation. Titanium alloy powder was prepared for the printing process. This material was chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent quality, making it suitable for cherished family heirlooms.
- Step 3: Printer Setup. The DMLS 3D printer was calibrated and set up. The titanium powder was loaded into the printer’s powder bed.
- Step 4: Layering Process. A thin layer of titanium powder was spread across the build platform. The high-powered laser then selectively melted the powder, fusing it to form the first layer of the calabash miniature.
- Step 5: Layer-by-Layer Construction. This process was repeated layer by layer. Each new layer of powder was spread and selectively melted by the laser, building up the calabash miniature from the bottom up.
- Step 6: Cooling and Solidification. Once the printing was completed, the calabash miniatures were allowed to cool and solidify. This ensured that the intricate lattice patterns and overall structure were stable.
- Step 7: Post-Processing. The printed calabash miniatures were carefully removed from the build platform. Excess powder was brushed off, and the miniatures were cleaned to remove any remaining powder particles.
- Step 8: Finishing Touches. The miniatures were inspected for quality and precision. Any necessary finishing touches, such as polishing or additional cleaning, were applied to enhance the appearance and functionality of the pendants.
- Step 9: Quality Check. A final quality check was conducted to ensure that each calabash miniature met the client’s specifications and standards.
- Step 10: Delivery. The completed calabash miniatures were packaged and delivered to the client, ready to be cherished as family heirlooms.
