At Siemens PLM Connection Americas 2018, one of the largest events for Siemens’ PLM software users, HP Inc. and Siemens expanded their longstanding collaboration to enable even more advanced functionality across a broader set of Siemens PLM software to change the way users can design and manufacture with HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology.
For the 5th year of its existence, following 2 years of R&D, French delta 3D printer manufacturer SpiderBot is introducing the new SpiderBot V4.0 HT (High Temperature). The system leverages a new technology developed by the company’s founder, Philip Boichut, to support affordable 3D printing with advanced, high-temperature plastics such as PEEK and PEI.
3DPrinterOS, one of the leading operating systems for 3D printers, has announced it will be powering the upcoming KODAK Portrait 3D Printers by Smart International. Through the agreement, the highly anticipated KODAK 3D printers will be bundled with 3DPrinterOS Cloud 3D Printer Management software with the “goal of driving mass adoption of the technology in educational institutions and enterprises.”
AM giant GE Additive has introduced the Arcam EBM Spectra H metal additive manufacturing system for the first time at RAPID + TCT 2018. The new system, now available for pre-order, is built for processing and printing typically challenging metal materials such as titanium aluminide (TiAl). The Arcam EBM Spectra H marks the first system put out by Sweden-based Arcam since it was acquired by GE in 2016.
Sinterit, the developer of the first desktop selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printer—Sinterit Lisa—is launching its next product, the suitably named Lisa 2. Priced at €11,990 ($14,900), the new Lisa 2 3D printer promises larger build volumes than its predecessor, as well as a slew of other improvements.
In the 3D printing community, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t tried or encountered one of Ultimaker’s products. Founded in 2011, the Dutch 3D printing company has established itself not just through its desktop 3D printers, but also through its open-source Cura software and its open materials platform, all of which have reliably served both the hobbyist and professional market.
As highlighted by 3DPBM’s Dutch-language media partner site – 3D Print Magazine – SLM Solution‘s latest investor relations report on Fiscal Q1 2018 did not just announce a positive start of the new year, with total operating revenue increased by 34.8% (mainly due to increase of stocks in preparation of the move into new facilities at the beginning of May 2018). The company also boldly stated that it is heading where no metal AM system OEM has gone before: 12-laser powder bed fusion, with the new SLM Cube.

The service provider sells Sintratec’s compact SLS 3D printers via its 3D printing online store now and takes over the local consulting and support service. Sintratec, a leading 3D printer manufacturer for compact SLS 3D printers, expands its reselling network as part of its global sales strategy and therefore cooperates with the German company MANN Datentechnik.
