Thermwood expands LSAM product line yet again with larger LSAM 1540 Decision Makers

Thermwood Corporation, the manufacturer of the LSAM large-scale thermoplastic composite additive systems, is introducing new and larger machine models: the LSAM 1540 and 1520. The LSAM additive manufacturing system line is already the broadest in the industry with additive printers from a 5×5 foot table to large dual gantry print and trim systems up to 10×40 feet. Machines longer than 40 feet are available, but several 10×40 systems are the largest built to date.

Autodesk Adds Netfabb Tools to Fusion 360 Software

Autodesk added its suite of Netfabb tools to the Autodesk Fusion 360 software, which incorporates additive CAD, cost-projection and milling tools. Netfabb, a web-based subscription service, builds upon the Fusion 360 software by adding a parts library, additive system and material parameters and simulation software to the Fusion 360 package. Existing Netfabb subscribers will receive access to the Fusion 360 package included with their subscriptions.
