Dimension Inx, a biofabrication company developing regenerative medical products, announced two new appointments to its Board of Directors. Veteran medical device executives Dianne Hayes Blanco and James Koziarz, Ph.D., join company founders Caralynn Nowinski Collens, M.D., Adam Jakus, Ph.D., and Ramille Shah, Ph.D., becoming the company’s first outside directors.

Sintavia acquires two more EOS M400-4 quad-laser 3D printers Aerospace

Sintavia LLC, a specialized additive manufacturing provider for the aerospace, defense and space industries, is expanding its metal AM capability with the acquisition of two additional M400-4 quad-laser 3D printers from German company EOS GmbH. The new metal additive manufacturing systems, which were delivered to Sintavia’s Florida-based facility this month, are the company’s seventh and eighth M400 3D printers.

thyssenkrupp is extending its gains in marine additive manufacturing by signing a letter of intent as a prelude to entering a joint venture with Wilhemsen Ships Services for custom manufacturing marine parts. The companies will collaborate on delivering maritime spare parts using 3D printing. thyssenkrupp, which already deploys additive manufacturing at its operations on the Kiel Fjord in Germany, joins with Wilhemsen’s experience in civil marine repairs. The joint venture facilitates repairs on older vessels. The companies expect to headquarter this effort in Singapore. The joint venture positions the companies as the world leader in maritime AM.
