About Project
In Ghana, funerals are celebratory affairs imbued with pomp and style, and no one brings it better than Nana Otafrija Pallbearing & Waiting Services 鈥 the dancing pallbearers in southern Ghana. During COVID-19, the coffin dance video brought us a lot of laughs, also taught us to face moments of pain and sadness with positivity and joy. Our client built the model from the video and ordered this 3D printed scale-down statue as a desktop decoration.
Solution
- Step 1: Examine the 3D model of the coffin dance crew and make some adjustments so the details can be more obvious after printing.
- Step 2: For the convenience of coloring, split the models, add supports, and print them in one batch. SLA Generic Resin is preferred as it can display fine details, sharp edges and a smooth finish, and it’s also easily paintable.
- Step 3: Cut off the supports with scissors, then polish to remove the remarks and bumps. Then process ground painting and fine painting.
