Designer Toys, also called art toys, are toys and collectibles created by artists and designers that are either self-produced or made by small, independent toy companies, typically in very limited editions. Creators often have backgrounds in graphic design, illustration, or fine art, but many accomplished toy artists are self-taught. The first Designer Toys appeared in the 1990s in Hong Kong and Japan. By the early 2000s, the majority of Designer Toys were based upon characters created by popular Lowbrow artists, forever linking the two movements.
An artist has designed two art toys that are in the shape of avocado and rabbit, and found us to make some prototypes for appearance verification. These cute and adorable cartoon toys have smooth and sleek surfaces and vivid colors. We print them with an SLA 3D printer.
Solution
Step 1: Communicate with the artist and modify the model to make it printable.
Step 2: Print the model with SLA 3D printing using Generic Resin.
Step 3: Do some post-processes like sanding, polishing, painting, and UV oil spraying.
