About Project
The art student designed this two-people set of tableware with the reference to Chinese Shanshui paintings. Shanshui is a style of traditional Chinese painting that involves or depicts scenery or natural landscapes, using a brush and ink rather than more conventional paints. Mountains, rivers, and often waterfalls are prominent in this art form. The dark edge and gradient blue color on the plates, bowls, cups, spoons, chopstick and chopstick holders look like mountain shadows.
The models are made through the SLA 3D printing method. The matte surface effect is achieved via polishing.
Solution
- Step 1: 3D modeling based on the blueprint drawn by the student.
- Step 2: 3D Printing with the SLA 3D printer using Generic Resin.
- Step 3: Post-processing, like support removal, sandblasting, polishing, and painting.
