Cosplay, a portmanteau of the words costume play, is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers to wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character.
Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture, and broader use of the term “cosplay” applies to any costumed role-playing in venues apart from the stage.
Although many anime and cartoons producer may sell some props and garments of the most popular characters, there are still some cosplayers try to create DIY costumes. But some anime and video game characters have weapons or other accessories that are hard to replicate, and conventions have strict rules regarding those weapons, so they turn to gain help from 3D printing.
