Hybrids typically borrow the flat, straight handlebars and upright seating posture of a mountain bike, which many bicyclists find comfortable and intuitive. Hybrids also employ the lighter weight, thinner wheels and smooth tires of road bikes, allowing for greater speed and less exertion when riding on the road. Hybrid bikes often have places to mount racks and bags for transporting belongings, much like a touring bike.
The SLA 3D printed bicycle scale model is designed by a cycling enthusiast as her dream hybrid bicycle. Believe it or not, its wheels can roll as a real bike. All the parts of the bike model are 3D printed separately and then sanded, painted, and assembled by hand.
Solution
Step 1: Our designer and engineer communicated with the customer about her expectations, and built the 3D model based on her draft as well as some reference pics she offered.
Step 2: After our customer was satisfied with the 3D model, we printed all the parts separately with an SLA 3D printer.
Step 3: Cut off the supporting structure and then post-cured them.
Step 4: Sanding, polishing, painting, and assembling all the parts.
