FacFox used LCD 3D printing technology and grey resin to create ultra detail parrot bird miniature samples. LCD 3D printing uses an array of ultraviolet LEDs to cure liquid resin into solid plastic layer by layer, which results in high accuracy and print quality.

The parrot miniature with elaborate feathers was designed by our clients, the thickness of the feather details could be as small as 0.05mm. The details and accuracy of the design were captured successfully with our industrial LCD 3D printers. Our client was amazed with the result and we were proud to have delivered exactly what they needed.

Solution

• Step 1: The minimum details of these models were examined to ensure they could be printed successfully. For small models with delicate details or statues with high requirements for precision, they were always suggest printing them with DLP or LCD technology.
• Step 2: Necessary supports were added to the models, and the models were positioned properly in the slicer software. Then the models were 3D printed with LCD Ultra Detail Resin.
• Step 3: The models were rinsed with IPA and post-cured with UV. The supports were broken carefully with scissors. The remaining marks are carefully removed with sandpaper.
