Solution

• Step 1: Scanning. The two friends were scanned at a local shop using a 3D scanner. Their poses were captured in detail, with one friend standing and placing her hand near her face, and the other stretching one arm to the sky, lifting one leg, and hugging her friend with the other arm.
• Step 2: Model Preparation. The scanned data was processed to create a detailed 3D model. The digital model was refined to ensure accuracy and to capture the intricate details of their poses and expressions.
• Step 3: File Conversion. The refined 3D model was converted into a format compatible with the PolyJet 3D printer. This step involved slicing the model into thin layers to prepare it for printing.
• Step 4: Material Loading: The PolyJet 3D printer was loaded with the necessary materials, including the full-color photopolymer resins required for creating the miniature.
• Step 5: Printing. The 3D model was printed layer by layer using the PolyJet 3D printing technique. Each layer of photopolymer resin was precisely deposited and cured using UV light, building up the miniature from the bottom up.
