About Project

Here is a bust sculpture of Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of the fifth JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, who has gained many fans worldwide. The aging and distressing paint techniques make the grey print looks like a stone sculpture.

Solution

• Step 1: 3D modeling based on the anime with ZBrush. It’s a practice for our colleague who is a JoJo fan and collects many anime figures.
• Step 2: Add supporting structures, feed the STL file into slicer software and arrange the placement.
• Step 3: 3D print the scaled-down model using DLP Ultra Detail Resin with layer height of 0.05mm.
• Step 4: Post-process it by washing the print with IPA, post-curing with UV, cutting off the supports, and air-drying. Then polish it and paint it using airbrushes and brushes by hand.
