About Project

The Alien (also known as a Xenomorph XX121 or Internecivus raptus) is a fictional endoparasitoid extraterrestrial species that is the antagonist of the Alien film series. The species made its debut in the film Alien (1979) and reappeared in the sequels Aliens (1986), Alien 3 (1992), and Alien Resurrection (1997).

Nearly 40 years after its release in 1979, Ridley Scott’s Alien remains an utterly captivating experience whatever mood or company it’s viewed in. It only seems to get better with each screening. The thrifting and novel design of the aliens in the movie is also one reason why people love it.

FacFox printed the garage kit with LCD 3D printing technology, which uses a digital projector screen to flash a single image of each layer across the entire platform at once. Because the projector is a digital screen, the image of each layer is composed of square pixels, resulting in a layer formed from small rectangular bricks called voxels.

Solution

  • Step 1: Examine the 3D model offered by our client, and repair the defects to avoid possible failure.
  • Step 2: The model is so delicate and has so many easy-to-break tiny parts that the building and removal of the supporting structure is a challenge. We recommend using DLP Ultra Detail Resin and LCD printing technique to present all the details.
  • Step 3: 3D print the model, carefully cut off the supports, clean the garage kit, and post-cure it with UV.
  • Step 4: After sanding and polishing and also putty filling, our client can finally paint it as he wishes.
