About Project
Thanks to the designer’s modeling skills, the mecha alien monster has rich printable details and can stand in different orientations. The sharp claws and the long suspended tail is quite a trail for inexperienced amateurs.
Solution
- Step 1: DLP 3D printing is the best technique to produce it as the model has a very high resolution.
- Step 2: Add supporting structures, feed the STL file into slicer software and arrange the placement.
- Step 3: 3D print the model using DLP Ultra Detail Resin with layer height of 0.05mm.
- Step 4: Post-process it by washing the print with IPA, post-curing with UV, cutting off the supports, and air-drying. Carefully polish the model with 400 to 2000-grit sandpaper.
