Solution

• Step 1: Scanning.聽The real clients were scanned using a high-resolution 3D scanner to capture their detailed likenesses.
• Step 2: Modeling.聽The scanned data was processed and refined to create accurate 3D models of the four girl figurines, each wearing a blazer, a white shirt with a tie, and a plaid skirt. Their poses were adjusted so that they all raised their arms and smiled to say goodbye.
• Step 3: Preparation. The 3D models were prepared for printing by slicing them into thin layers and setting the appropriate print parameters.
• Step 4: Printing. The ColorJet 3D printer was used to print the figurines. A thin layer of Fullcolor Sandstone was spread over the build platform, and a color binder was selectively jetted from inkjet print heads to bind the powder and add color. This process was repeated layer by layer until the full-color figurines were completed..
• Step 5: Post-Processing.聽The printed figurines were carefully removed from the build platform. Excess powder was brushed off, and the figurines were cleaned to reveal the final details.
• Step 6: Finishing.聽The figurines were inspected for quality and any minor imperfections were corrected. Since the ColorJet technique produced full-color models, no additional painting was required.
