The aortic arch is the part of the aorta between the ascending and descending aorta. Unlike the common anatomy models of brain and organs on the market, the specific blood vessel models are pricy and only target at medical students. Thus, our client turned to 3D printing for a solution. There are many open-source 3D anatomy models on the Internet and all you need to do is tell us the scale and coating you want.
Solution
Step 1: Check the STL file, add supports and arrange the placement in the slicing software.
Step 2: Produce the model with SLA Frosted Clear Resin, which has a frosted clear appearance and is ideal for light-diffusion, also it can be post-processed to almost fully optically clear finish.
Step 3: Post-processing like support removal, sanding, post-curing.
