Solution
- Step 1: Intraoral Scanning.聽A digital scan of the patient’s mouth was taken using an intraoral scanner. This device captured detailed 3D images of the teeth and gums.
- Step 2: Data Processing.聽The scanned data was processed using specialized software to create a precise digital model of the patient’s dental arches.
- Step 3: Model Design.聽The digital model was refined and prepared for 3D printing, ensuring all details were accurately represented.
- Step 4: Material Loading. PolyJet Multi-color Resin were loaded into the printer. These resins were chosen for their ability to produce high-resolution, full-color prints.
- Step 5: Printing Setup.聽The build platform was prepared, and the print settings were configured. This included setting the layer thickness and resolution to ensure fine detail and accuracy.
- Step 6: Layer Deposition.聽The printer’s nozzles jetted tiny droplets of liquid photopolymer onto the build platform. As each layer was deposited, it was immediately cured by a UV light, solidifying the material.
- Step 7: Layer-by-Layer Construction.聽The build platform moved down incrementally after each layer was deposited and cured. This process was repeated layer by layer until the entire model was constructed.
- Step 8: Support Material.聽During printing, support material was also jetted to support overhanging structures. This material was designed to be easily removable after printing.
- Step 9: Post-Processing. Once printing was completed, the model was removed from the build platform. The support material was carefully removed. Additional curing under UV light was performed to ensure complete hardening of the resin.
- Step 10: Final Inspection.聽The finished model was thoroughly inspected to ensure it met the required specifications and quality standards. Any remaining support material was cleaned off, and the model’s details were verified.
