About Project
These are 50mm x 50mm x 50mm test cubes to show varying amounts and types of infill for TPU material. They could showcase the rigidity and flexibility from greater infill to lesser infill as it gets to the top. They are a proof of concept for work, but it’s a really helpful print for showing the capabilities of flexible materials.
Solution
- Step 1: Check the model downloaded from the Internet. Process the model in 3D slicer software.
- Step 2: Produce the sole with SLS 3D printing technology using TPU powders. The excess powders in the mesh structures are easy to be removed.
- Step 3: Smooth out the surface of TPU prints with chemical vapour.
