The jewelry studio customed a small batch of resin prints as ear pendants for a DIY promotion campaign. The models are in the shape of pine cones, sea cucumbers and berries. Their clients could dye the prints into whatever colors they like and combine them into earrings.
Solution
Step 1: The client builds the 3D models with Nomad Sculpt and exports the STL files to our engineer for examination. We give her a quote based on the dimension and amounts she wants.
Step 2: Add supporting structures, feed the STL files into slicer software, and arrange the position for the models. We try to make the utmost of the resin tank and print as many as possible at one time to save the cost for her.
Step 3: 3D print the scaled-down model using a safe and environmentally friendly resin material with a layer height of 0.05mm.
Step 4: Post-process them by washing the print with IPA, post-curing with UV, cutting off the supports, and air-drying. Then polish them with fine-grit sandpaper.
