About Project

The golden square rings with round corners and a diamond are hot on sale. Its creator is Chow Tai Fook, the famous Hong Kong-based jewelry shop. They are fully convinced of the benefits of 3D printing technology and using the castable wax resin patterns for lost-wax casting.

Solution

  • Step 1: The designers use CAD software tools to create the design digitally then send the STL files to our engineer for a quote with the material DLP Castable Resin.
  • Step 2: We use high-resolution DLP 3D printers to produce the 3D printed patterns. The post-processing is painstaking as all the marks should be removed and the surface needs to be polished carefully.
  • Step 3: The patterns can then be cast in the mold. After burnout of the positive pattern, the process follows the same path as traditional investment casting.
